Buku ini memuat seluruh kegiatan program kerja Pengabdian Masyarakat yang telah dijalankan oleh mahasiswa Universitas Muhammadiyah Banjarmasin selama kurang lebih 35 hari di Desa Binaan Baru, Kecamatan Belawang, Kabupaten Barito Kuala, Kalimantan Selatan. Berdasarkan hasil observasi dari penulis, terdapat beberapa masalah yang dapat dijadikan sebagai acuan untuk membuat program kerja di Desa Binaan Baru. Rumusan masalah yang didapatkan di Desa Binaan Baru adalah pendidikan yang rendah, permasalahan ekonomi dan permasalahan kesehatan.

Aplikasi TiO2 sebagai smart material telah merambah berbagai bidang kehidupan antara lain terkait dengan elektronik, katalisis, penginderaan, obat-obatan bahkan aplikasinya sebagai pupuk (nano fertilizer). Dalam berbagai kajian, dilaporkan bahwa TiO2 mampu mengkatalisis berbagai reaksi enzimatis penting dalam tanaman, mampu mendorong perkecambahan biji, meningkatkan fotosintesis tanaman, dan metabolisme nitrogen.
