Janet M. Moreland is not a poet of the classical era. In ""Spilled Words,"" her free verse, prose and lyrical rhythms may be separated for a given poem, then mixed with wild abandon as her heart spills words upon the printed page. ""Spilled Words"" contains poems for family and friends, for loves remembered, words from her Cherokee spirit, all of which may enchant or annoy but are sure to entertain. Her sense of humor is never far away and gives an insight into the life of this singular poet, who describes herself as a ""recluse, living in an oasis in the midst of the barren desert, where I may wander with the spirits who dwell in these mystical mountains."" Here also are some of her short stories and a poem titled ""Thunder's Mother,"" which was written for children. Janet strives to entertain, and here is her entertainment at its best, as when she writes: I shall visit that place called Solitude again. It's peopled with interesting, vaporous souls who haunt its spaces in search of new touches.

Although fictionalized to make the events come alive for the reader, the story adheres to the Biblical narratives and Church tradition.

Most selling books address a particular aspect of the process for you to focus on and improve your skill. It sounds great in theory but contains a fatal flaw. Each step in the process is inextricably connected to the others. That's why most selling books don't work very well. These books assume that a change in any single aspect of the selling process will still fit within the rest of your activity. Selling by the Numbers is a comprehensive and proven system that works whether you are new to a career in selling or trying to revitalize a stagnant career. You'll prepare, mathematically calculate, and implement all of the steps necessary from start to finish and become a master salesperson. You...

Veronico explores the romantic era of World War II warbirds and the stories of some of its most famous wrecks, including the "Swamp Ghost" (a B-17E which crashed in New Guinea in the early days of World War II and which was only recently recovered), and "Glacier Girl" (a P-38, part of "The Lost Squadron," which crashed in a large ice sheet in Greenland in 1942). Throughout, Veronico provides a history of the aircraft, as well as the unique story behind each discovery and recovery with ample illustrations.

The Carson Kids and the Shipwreck on Grizzly Island

When Blake and Jennifer Carson are caught in a sudden storm, they find themselves stranded on a remote island somewhere in the Canadian Gulf Islands. Grizzly bear warnings force them to find shelter in an old lighthouse, but wailing winds in the tower and a secret tunnel beneath the creaking floorboards lure them toward something even more dangerous than the grizzly. Can they escape in time?
