The Last Wish Woman
This is the story of those men and women who have not been mentioned in official history and have questioned themselves about their own place in war. There are no heroes in this novel, all there is are men and women with their little gestures that enable you to touch and feel the horrors of war with your bare hands. They are soldiers, hookers, guerrilleros or priests: characters in a big picture where, in the end, everyone loses. Published originally in spanish as 'La mujer de los condenados' (also published by eLibros), the novel was finalist in the novel national prize of IDCT, Bogotá, Colombia. This translation was made by Australian Kieran Tapsell.
Se robaron Monserrate y otros cuentos
No es extraño que en Bogotá se roben “hasta un hueco”, como dice el refrán popular. Lo extraño sería que se robaran el mayor ícono de la capital de Colombia: el emblemático cerro de Monserrate, con templo y todo. Con humor y angustia, utilizando chascarrillos bogotanos, Javier Correa Correa, autor de las novelas La mujer de los condenados, Si las paredes hablaran y Muerte en el anticuario (publicadas por eLibros), cuenta 27 historias urbanas que también podrían ser reales, pues en ellas se entrelazan los tejidos de millones de personas que desde sus soledades, como las de ‘El pintor’ o ‘El saxofonista’, son apenas la proyección de un niño que descubre la existencia de las palomas.

Laura, Talía, Ester y Elvira, cuatro mujeres dispuestas a ir más allá de la ley para erradicar la violencia de género de una sociedad, a veces ciega, a veces sorda, a veces más dispuesta a denunciar tragedias que a afrontarlas con entereza.
