Namentlich soll es die Zusammenhänge sowohl zwischen den Teilen dieses Mantelerlasses als auch dem vorbestehenden Privat- und Finanzmarktrecht aufzeigen. Daneben geht es auf die rechtlichen Aspekte bestimmter «Fintech»-Phänomene ein, fasst die parallelen Entwicklungen in der EU sowie teilweise in anderen Rechtsordnungen zusammen und vergleicht diese mit der Schweizer Rechtslage. Der relativ umfassende Ansatz soll der Praxis, aber nicht zuletzt auch den rechtsetzenden Behörden einen raschen Überblick über die zum Teil nicht leicht zugängliche Materie verschaffen, indem auch die legislatorischen Massnahmen kritisch gewürdigt werden.
