Ce livre donne suite au « Festival dont vous êtes le héros », événement organisé par la Fucid à l'Université de Namur et autour d’elle, en ville, dans le but de s’interroger sur les héros, les héroïnes et les héroïsmes, en particulier ceux, moins connus, des peuples d’Afrique, d’Asie et d’Amérique latine. En avril 2015, ce « Festival H » a réuni des centaines de personnes. Concerts, spectacles, expos, débats, jeux… Les activités mettaient en lumière des figures héroïques, toutes porteuses d’espoirs, de limites, de faiblesses, de valeurs, de dérives, de courage, bref, d’inspiration. La figure du héros charismatique est complexe, chaque héros ayant son côté sombre. Si le prophétisme des héros est nécessaire en ces temps de grande perplexité, il peut également conduire à un dangereux populisme. Plusieurs analyses et réflexions permettent d’éclairer les différentes figures héroïques.
