Las anomalías congénitas y adquiridas del macizo craneofacial abarcan un am-plio y complejo espectro de patologías con efectos devastadores para la vida de los pacientes. Desde el punto de vista del cirujano plástico, su enfoque y manejo integral demandan de la entera comprensión de los mecanismos fisio-patológicos subyacentes, la obligatoriedad de un manejo interdisciplinario y, desde la perspectiva quirúrgica, un profundo conocimiento de la anatomía y las técnicas quirúrgicas disponibles para su adecuado abordaje.
