Currículo y emprendimiento
Este texto se configura como primera aproximación a la sistematización de un proceso que esperamos sea de largo aliento. Uno en el que se aborda el emprendimiento de la “empresa” como un dispositivo monolítico, como una agencia de estructura rígida, de producción de bienes materiales y orientada por el lucro per se como único telos que le da sentido. Se presenta aquí un conjunto de acercamientos diversos y con distintos niveles de elaboración que dan cuenta de experiencias contribuidas por varias instituciones de educación superior, y que muestran su manera de considerar el currículo como una medición importante en la formación del espíritu y la actitud emprendedora.

Women's Writing in Colombia
Winner of the Montserrat Ordóñez Prize 2018 This book provides an original and exciting analysis of Colombian women’s writing and its relationship to feminist history from the 1970s to the present. In a period in which questions surrounding women and gender are often sidelined in the academic arena, it argues that feminism has been an important and intrinsic part of contemporary Colombian history. Focusing on understudied literary and non-literary texts written by Colombian women, it traces the particularities of Colombian feminism, showing how it has been closely entwined with left-wing politics and the country’s history of violence. This book therefore rethinks the place of feminism in Latin American history and its relationship to feminisms elsewhere, challenging many of the predominant critical paradigms used to understand Latin American literature and culture.
Portrait of a Young Painter
In Portrait of a Young Painter, the distinguished historian Mary Kay Vaughan adopts a biographical approach to understanding the culture surrounding the Mexico City youth rebellion of the 1960s. Her chronicle of the life of painter Pepe Zúñiga counters a literature that portrays post-1940 Mexican history as a series of uprisings against state repression, injustice, and social neglect that culminated in the student protests of 1968. Rendering Zúñiga's coming of age on the margins of formal politics, Vaughan depicts midcentury Mexico City as a culture of growing prosperity, state largesse, and a vibrant, transnationally-informed public life that produced a multifaceted youth movement brimming with creativity and criticism of convention. In an analysis encompassing the mass media, schools, politics, family, sexuality, neighborhoods, and friendships, she subtly invokes theories of discourse, phenomenology, and affect to examine the formation of Zúñiga's persona in the decades leading up to 1968. By discussing the influences that shaped his worldview, she historicizes the process of subject formation and shows how doing so offers new perspectives on the events of 1968.
