Autorka przypomina prawie nieznane w naszej świadomości zbrodnie na Polakach dokonane m.in. w Humaniu czy Batohu. W tym kontekście męczeństwo św. Andrzeja Boboli w 1657 r. i nieludzkie tortury, jakim był poddany, w niczym nie odbiegało od opisów morderstw na Wołyniu i w Małopolsce Wschodniej w latach 40. XX w.
