Measuring Creative Potential of Primary School Students and the Perspectives of Students and Teachers from Kosovo: A Mixed Method Study
This research measures the creative potential for a representative sample of pre-high school students in Kosovo, it also investigates and develops on both teacher’s and student’s explicit and implicit understandings of creativity and its impact in the classroom. Using mixed methods, the integrated results are utilised to cultivate a rationale for the student’s level of creative potential and offer solutions for moving forward.
The Relationship between Expatriation and Career Success
Experts are progressively discovering the crucial role of globally mobile talent in today’s competitive business environment and have called the task of securing and retaining these employees the greatest international human resource challenge to date. While many employees willingly accept international work assignments believing in a positive impact on their careers, high-quality research on global mobility and career success is lacking, leaving thousands of ambitious individuals at risk of making shortsighted career decisions. Providing empirical research in this field to better inform employees, employers, human resource practitioners, fellow researchers and academics lies at the core of this work.
Addressing Educational Opportunities for Rural Kanjars
Little is documented on educational schemes helping the marginalized Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in rural India. This study documents new avenues of addressing social and gender inequality within the ethnic community of Kanjars through education and improvements in hyigene. Pardada Pardadi Educational Society (PPES) is an innovative NGO providing education to girls from lower castes in Uttar Pradesh. In a project created to engage Kanjar girls, PPES made use of a targeted incentive, a solar lantern, to reward girls with good school attendance as well as to address one of the local community’s needs, that of a clean and cost effective lighting source. This study analyzes the attendance rates of girls before and after the introduction of solar lanterns. In addition, surveys and interviews provide qualitative insights. The overall findings reveal that girls with a solar lantern not only attain higher average attendance but also take onwership of their education.
The situation of Chinese students in Germany
Very few studies have explored in detail the experiences of Chinese students at German universities, this study is an attempt to create a balance. The research focuses on psychological and sociocultural adjustment experiences of Chinese students at a German university, i.e. Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich, and their situation after graduation. It reports quantitative and qualitative data and discusses practical implications of the findings. The study provides a starting point for all concerned to review and develop procedures and services which affect the experiences of Chinese students as well as other international students in Germany.
Ganztagsschule und Übergänge im Bildungssystem
Übergänge haben in Bildungsbiographien eine besondere Bedeutung und wurden daher in den vergangenen Jahren in den Bildungsdiskussionen besonders fokussiert. Die Gestaltung dieser Übergänge ist ein gewichtiger Faktor bei der Sicherstellung von Chancengerechtigkeit. Welche Möglichkeiten die Ganztagsschule bietet, wurde dennoch bislang kaum diskutiert. Das Jahrbuch Ganztagsschule 2021/22 ist nun diesem bislang kaum beachteten Thema der Ganztagsschulentwicklung gewidmet und beleuchtet die Rolle der Ganztagsschulen bei Übergängen im Bildungssystem. Im Jahrbuch werden die besonderen Möglichkeiten der Ganztagsschule bei der Gestaltung der Übergänge in, zwischen und aus Schulen mit Hilfe aktueller Forschungsbefunde praxisnah erörtert.

Zusammenzug und familiales Zusammenleben von Stieffamilien
Dieses Buch liefert neue Erkenntnisse zur Stieffamilienforschung in Deutschland in Bezug auf den Zusammenzug von Stiefeltern sowie in Bezug auf innerfamiliale Prozesse wie der Zusammenarbeit in der Erziehung, dem sogenannten Coparenting. Anhand der Daten des DJI-Surveys „Aufwachsen in Deutschland: Alltagswelten“ untersucht Christine Entleitner-Phleps nicht nur Faktoren, die im Zusammenhang mit dem Zusammenzug mit einem sozialen Elternteil stehen. Die Autorin legt außerdem ein besonderes Augenmerk auf das Coparenting mit dem sozialen Elternteil und mit dem leiblichen getrennt lebenden Elternteil. Sie weist nach, dass die ökonomische Situation der Stiefeltern und des leiblichen Elternteils eine maßgebliche Rolle dabei spielt, ob das Coparenting in Stieffamilien, aber auch mit dem getrennt lebenden Elternteil gelingt. Zudem ist die Partnerschaftsqualität ein bedeutsamer Faktor bei der Ausgestaltung des Coparenting.
