Raoul Schrott occupe une place à part dans la littérature autrichienne actuelle. Voyageur chevronné et passeur infatigable, il arpente le monde comme il explore les savoirs, en cherchant des voies de résistance à la crise de légitimité de la littérature. Subvertissant tout à la fois une forme de postmodernisme ludique ou désenchanté et la sacralisation moderne de l’écriture, il propose une figure renouvelée de l’écrivain qui combine les postures du cartographe et de l’archéologue. Les traducteurs, passeurs culturels entre la France et l’Autriche
Les traducteurs et les traductrices jouent un rôle fondamental en tant qu’« agents » des transferts culturels entre la France et l’Autriche du XIXe siècle à nos jours. Les auteurs de cet ouvrage explorent des facettes différentes, mais étroitement imbriquées, conditionnant le devenir d’une traduction : la part des personnalités qui traduisent, celle des environnements dans lesquels leur travail est lu et reçu, et celle des enjeux qui s’y rattachent. Ils valorisent ainsi, entre autres, le rôle essentiel de traducteurs et de médiateurs comme Joseph Laudes, Caroline Pichler, Carl Treumann, Xavier Marmier ou encore K. L. Ammer. La réception en France des traductions de Leopold von Sacher-Masoch, Sigmund Freud, Stefan Zweig, Leo Perutz et Franz Kafka est également mise en lumière, sans oublier la traduction de la poésie à partir des oeuvres de Friederike Mayröcker, Ernst Jandl et Margret Kreidl.
Intertextualität im dramatischen Werk Richard Beer-Hofmanns
Richard Beer-Hofmann (1866–1945) hatte sich bereits als Autor von Novellen, Gedichten und Erzählungen einen Namen gemacht, als er sich dem Drama zuwandte. Sein dramatisches Werk ist durch eine Vielzahl an Text- Text-Verbindungen gekennzeichnet. Die Intertextualität ist ein geradezu integraler Bestandteil und Modus seiner dramatischen Praxis. Im Spannungsfeld von Markierung, Aufbewahrung, Bearbeitung und Aktualisierung entfaltet Beer-Hofmann dramatische Intertextualität im Gattungsrahmen der literarischen Pantomime, des Trauerspiels und des historischen Bibeldramas. Anhand von drei intertextuellen Konzepten – Gattung, Markierung und Gedächtnis – untersucht Mathias Meert die Dialogizität und Transformation von literarischen und dramatischen Referenztexten in Beer-Hofmanns „Pierrot Hypnotiseur“ (1892), „Der Graf von Charolais“ (1904), „Jaákobs Traum“ (1918), „Das goldene Pferd“ (1921/22), „Der junge David“ (1933) und im „Vorspiel auf dem Theater zu König David“ (1936).
