Teo Eng Seng: We’re Happy. Are You Happy? offers a comprehensive overview of Singapore artist Teo Eng Seng’s bold experimentations over the last seven decades. Teo is known for his invention of what he terms “paperdyesculp”—a malleable mixture of pulp, natural fibres and other commonplace materials, and his technique of finessing it, inspired by Chinese papermaking and calligraphic traditions, and Western abstraction. Through painting, sculpture and paperdyesculp, Teo draws aesthetic vocabularies from an extraordinary range of cultural sources only to deconstruct them, directing the self—spontaneous and raw as he deems—in irreverent jest. Pervasive in his oeuvre is a radical openness to the social world, teasing us to question the human condition with unabashed humour, irony and wit.
Land Snakes of Medical Significance in Malaysia
The purpose of this book is to highlight the potentially dangerous species to humans, with a list of the main potentially medically significant snakes. It is important to note that if a species is not listed below, it does not necessarily mean that it does not exist in Malaysia nor that its bite cannot cause harmful effects in humans. In particular, the list of colubrid (non-front-fanged) snakes has been selective, to include only a number known to be of potential medical significance. It is also important to note that a poor surveillance of the pet trade and irresponsible importation of exotic snakes may introduce a medically significant species, which is not indigenous to Malaysia. This may add to the complexity of managing envenomings in this country.

International Sports Press Survey 2011
The International Sports Press Survey 2011 is a comparative study on the quality of sports reporting in print media. The editors, Thomas Horky and Jörg-Uwe Nieland, present an analysis of data from 22 countries and add more specific research in 14 selected country studies. The world’s largest study of its kind helps to identify similarities and differences in sports reporting. The results are placed in the context of the print media crisis, and conclusions are drawn to deal with the new challenges for sports journalism.
