Group Management of Stress-related Emotions in the Workplace
This book spotlights the communities of coping that develop in everyday routines at work like socialising, taking group breaks, telling stories and jokes, or drinking coffee and smoking together. Such practices help employees improve their well-being as they try to deal with the stress and emotions created by their demanding jobs. Effective solutions for how work groups can better manage work-related stress by building strong emotional cultures with a strong group mindset, trust, and connection are described. The research points to communication patterns that encourage co-workers to openly discuss work problems, painful experiences and therefore better deal with stress. These communal practices nourish the camaraderie that sustains them and ensures the work is done. What is also highlighted is the way individuals become both involved in the system of power at play in the organisation by expressing/suppressing their stress-caused feelings and entangled in the struggles against this system.

Why Translation Studies Matters
Whether Translation Studies really matters is an important and challenging question which practitioners of translation and interpreting raise repeatedly. TS scholars, many of whom are translators and interpreters themselves, are not indifferent to it either. The twenty papers of this thematic volume, contributed by authors from various parts of Europe, from Brazil and from Israel, address it in a positive spirit. Some do so through direct critical reflection and analysis, arguing in particular that the engagement of TS with society should be strengthened so that the latter could benefit more from the former. Others illustrate the relevance and contribution of TS to society and to other disciplines from various angles. Topics broached include the cultural mediation role of translators, issues in literary translation, knowledge as intellectual capital, globalization through English and risks associated with it, bridging languages, mass media, corpora, training, the use of modern technology, interdisciplinarity with psycholinguistics and neurophysiology.

Fotografska monografija prinaša sto barvnih in črno-belih fotografij iz dvajsetletnega (1982–2002) fotografovega umetniškega ustvarjanja. Izbor fotografij je opravil Štravs sam in zajel različna področja svojega ustvarjanja: moda, portret in fotografije, ki jih zaznamuje njegova osebna mitologija. Z izborom je ustvaril zgodbo, ki je zelo odprta za interpretacije.
