People with Special Needs: Policy Recommendations
Being able to do advocacy on health issues is a competency needed by graduates of higher education. Unfortunately, based on research, the role of advocating is considered less significant than other roles. Education in the health sector itself was also identified as providing only limited opportunities to be able to facilitate the achievement of this role. Exposure to advocacy learning requires experience initiation and service exposure in the community so that students get a broad understanding of how advocacy can be carried out. Students are expected to be able to deeply appreciate the various social determinants to develop global health advocacy skill. One of the outcomes of formal global health advocacy is policy brief. There are various ways, challenges, and innovations in encouraging students to write policy brief. Duta Wacana Christian University School of Medicine with World Nations International collaborated in implementing the Global Health Advocacy Course. This course is expected to facilitate students to understand global health advocacy and then encourage students to make policy brief on that theme.
World Spice Plants
The many spice and aromatic plants are arranged in alphabetical order of their botanical relevance. It includes all species which have been cultivated for the above purposes. It also covers species whose usage has long ceased or which are used only rarely or have become wild. In total over 1400 plants have been collated. The register of literature has been designed to facilitate the study of a specific plant or spice. Works both on botany and agriculture, and on chemistry, pharmacodynamics and usage have been considered.

Kurangnya sumber tertulis mengenai manusia dan kebudayaan Sunda. Tidak banyak buku atau tulisan tentang sejarah, tentang kesenian dan tentang segala sesuatu yang berkenaan dengan kebudayaan Sunda—terasa sekali kurangnya kalau dibandingkan dengan literatur tentang Jawa dan Bali. Entah mengapa para sarjana asing juga sedikit sekali yang menaruh perhatian terhadap orang Sunda dan kebudayaannya. Di kalangan orang Sunda sendiri tidak ada tradisi menulis dan menyusun dokumentasi, sehingga tak heran kalau generasi belakangan merasa "pareumeun obor," kehilangan petunjuk tentang hubungan dengan nenek-moyang dan saudara-saudara sendiri. Contaminated Rivers
This book provides an introductory understanding of fluvial geomorphic principles and how these principles can be integrated with geochemical data to cost-effectively characterize, assess and remediate contaminated rivers. The book stresses the importance of needing to understand both geomorphic and geochemical processes. Thus, the overall presentation is first an analysis of physical and chemical processes and, second, a discussion of how an understanding of these processes can be applied to specific aspects of site assessment and remediation. Such analyses provide the basis for a realistic prediction of the kinds of environmental responses that might be expected, for example, during future changes in climate or land-use.
