This story's main hero is a fresh graduate named Jack, who becomes one of Donald Trump's advisors tasked to secure his re-election in 2020. Even though Jack is no fan of Donald Trump at the beginning of the story, he makes a very unusual friend who convinces him to work for Trump and finds a way for him to get into the White House. Eventually, Jack suggests a rather original strategy for winning the election. Donald Trump immediately agrees with Jack and proceeds to colonize Indonesia to saves its tropical rainforests and the endangered orangutans who live there on the brink of extinction. While the book is definitely meant to be satirical, it is also supposed to be serious in many ways. Apart from discussing Donald Trump and the presidential election of 2020, I aim to encourage people to think more actively about politics, public affairs, and environmental issues. Last but not least, an alien from another planet also plays an important part in the story! Do enjoy reading my book, and thank you for purchasing it!

The Tragedy of the Templars

The Tragedy of the Templars

In 1187, nearly a century after the victorious First Crusade, Saladin captured Jerusalem. The Templars, headquartered on the Temple Mount, were driven from the city along with the Frankish population. The fall of Jerusalem was a turning point, the start of a narrative of desperate struggle and relentless loss. In little more than a century Acre would be destroyed, the Franks driven from Outremer, and the Templars themselves, reviled and disgraced, would face their final immolation. Michael Haag's new book explores the rise and fall of the Templars against the backdrop of the Crusader ideal and their settlement venture in Outremer. Haag argues that the Crusader States were a rare period when the population of Palestine had something approaching local rule, representing local interests - and the fall of Jerusalem to Saladin was a disaster. He contends that the Templars, as defenders of the Crusader States, were made scapegoats for a Europe whose newfound nationalism caused it to withdraw support for the Crusader venture. Throughout, he charts the Templars' rise and fall in gripping narrative, with their beliefs and actions set in the context of their time.

Bluffer's Guide To Cats

Instantly acquire all the knowledge you need to pass as an expert in the world of cats. Never again confuse a Cornish Rex with a type of pasty, a Turkish Angora with a cardigan, or a LaPerm with a bad hair day. Bask in the admiration of your fellow cat people as you pronounce confidently on a tendency for anthropomorphism among feline fans (ascribing human characteristics to animals), assure them that it isn’t catching, and effortlessly hold your own against the most pompous of ‘ailurophiles’ – especially if they don’t know the difference between vomeronasals and vibrissae. The chances are they won’t know the real reason that ancient Egyptians revered their cats as demigods either.

Chasing the Demon

NATIONAL BESTSELLER • At the end of World War II, a band of aces gathered in the Mojave Desert on a Top Secret quest to break the sound barrier–nicknamed "The Demon" by pilots. The true story of what happened in those skies has never been told. Speed. In 1947, it represented the difference between victory and annihilation. After Hiroshima, the ability to deliver a nuclear device to its target faster than one’s enemy became the singular obsession of American war planners. And so, in the earliest days of the Cold War, a highly classified program was conducted on a desolate air base in California’s Mojave Desert. Its aim: to push the envelope of flight to new frontiers. There gathered a...
