Rural Revisions of Golden Age Drama

This work focuses on rural community versions of Spanish Early Modern Theatre and deals with cultural heritage and the contemporary impact of Golden Age theatre on local rural communities. To this end, I examine the burgeoning of annual rural Golden Age theatre festivals that generate site-centered, non-professional productions of the plays, and revisit the conflict between tradition and innovation, between popular and high culture between authority of literary heritage and the people's right to the canon. The selection of Early Modern plays set in actual Spanish communities—Fuenteovejuna, El Alcalde de Zalamea, Numancia and Los tres blasones de España—renders an overview of the effect ...

Background and Goal of Systematic Review:The role of decompressive craniectomy (DC) in the treatment of patients with high intracranial pressure (hICP) after traumatic brain injury (TBI) is controversial. Aim of this systematic review (SR) is to summarize recent clinical evidences on DC in hICP after TBI. Materials and Methods:A SR literature search of PubMed using (brain injury) AND (DC) and (brain injury) AND (ICP) as key words of papers published between January 2011 to November 2016, has been accomplished. Only full text papers published in English and presenting original data were included. The articles were evaluated according to PRISMA recommendations and details recorded using a dedi...

One of the main contributions of this important book is that it offers a thorough survey of the theoretical and empirical developments that have occurred in the area of (im)politeness in the different regions of the Spanish-speaking world, gathering together overviews by distinguished scholars. Additionally, the book advances the field with new empirical research on linguistic (im)politeness, and silence and (im)politeness, in a range of (non)institutional contexts, as well as new perspectives for the study of (im)politeness. A closing chapter by the editors provides an assessment of salient trends in the area and directions for future research. Research on Politeness in the Spanish-Speaking World is essential reading for students in Spanish pragmatics and Spanish linguistics, sociolinguistics, and discourse analysis. The volume is also very useful to English-speaking scholars in the general field of pragmatics who are not proficient in Spanish but require access to these empirical studies.

Background: If a patient on dabigatran treatment needs an urgent surgery, hemodialysis has been shown to be a useful tool to decrease dabigatran plasma levels due to his low plasma protein binding. To reverse dabigatran's anticoagulant effect, physicians may administer prothrombin complex concentrate (PCC) or FVIIa but their role is yet unproven. Recently a specific reversal agent, Idarucizumab is approved in USA. Case report: A 71-year-old male patient, with non-valvular atrial fibrillation anticoagulated with dabigatran 110mg/12h, chronic kidney disease stage III and multivessel coronary artery disease waiting for coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) suffered a sudden cardiac arrest. Upon admission, due to deterioration of his chronic renal failure with GFR
