Mi chiamo Marco e sono prossimo ai 40 anni. Mi considero una persona particolarmente fortunata poiché la vita, per ragioni che non so spiegare con la ragione, mi ha messo di fronte a due incredibili regali: una Vespa ET3 del 1980 targata Piacenza, la mia città natale, e Giulia, la mia compagna di vita e di viaggio.Noi tre assieme abbiamo percorso decine di migliaia di km, in Italia e all'estero. Muovendoci lentamente, normalmente con velocità non superiore ai 50 km/h ma spesso anche a meno, e afforontando potentissime salite, ripidissime discese e infiniti rettilinei, passando fra avventure ed imprevisti, abbiamo avuto modo di conoscerci meglio e mutare il nostro punto di vista su molti aspetti della vita.Un libro introspettivo, una collezione di diari di viaggio, di suggestioni e di emozioni per capire che, in fondo, la lentezza è (ancora) un valore da cui si può imparare molto. E che, in fondo, se ti muovi lento, riesci a vedere e assaporare dei deliziosi fichi che trovi lungo la strada, mentre tutto il mondo ti sfreccia veloce, anzi velocissimo, per arrivare il prima possibile, chissà poi dove.
