Muslims commemorate Prophet Noah and his tireless messengership every year by cooking Ashura pudding and sharing it with their neighbors; they remember the great model of Abraham as the firend of God who displayed the greates example of submission to the Divine Will. Providing essential information about various components of Islamic tradition as the unviersal heritage of human history, we hope this book will serve to the better understanding and mutual respect between members of different faiths.

Sevgili annelerimizden hangisine bakarsak bakalım, her birinin ayrı bir yıldız olarak kandil kandil parıldadığını görürüz. Yine her birinde, hayatımıza ışık tutacak, birçok konuda hepimize rehberlik edecek, çokça örneklerle karşı karşıya kalırız. Onların, Rasûlullah aleyhisselâm ile olduğu gibi, kendi aralarında da, çokça ortak hayat hikâyeleri vardır. Burada görüleceği gibi, her annemizin, Rasûlullah aleyhisselâm ile evliliğinden önce, Rasûlullah ile evliliği ve Rasûlullah’tan sonraki hayatı şeklinde, bütün aşamalarını araştırıp kaleme almaya çalıştık. Osman Bektaş El- Mevṣıli ve Şiiri
Osman Bektaş, Arap edebiyatının şiir başta olmak üzere pek çok sahasında eser vermiş ve bölgesinde temayüz etmiş bir şahsiyettir. Onun, maiyetinde hayatını idame ettiği valileri medih için yazdığı şiirler başta olmak üzere, başka konularda ve nazım türlerinde yazdığı şiirleri derlediği divanı eldeki tek eseridir. Bu çalışmadaki asıl amaç Osman Bektaş’ın divanında yer alan bütün şiirlerini tek tek ele almak değil, genel olarak şiirdeki üslubunu muhteva ve şekil yönünden tespit etmek ve –Osmanlı Devleti’nin son döneminde Arap şiiri de dahil olmak üzere– şiirinin Arap şiiri içindeki yerini ortaya koymaktır.
