La industria de la construcción de vivienda
El hecho de que la industria de la construcción en la ciudad de Pasto y, en general, en el departamento de Nariño, haya sido considerada poco estructurada en todos sus eslabones, ha llevado a que sea un sector con algunas desventajas, sobre todo en las Pequeñas y Medianas Empresas (PYME), siendo estas organizaciones, parte importante y representativa de la economía regional, con gran potencial dinamizador desde la generación de empleo y el crecimiento industrial. El libro relata la industria de la construcción de vivienda y da una mirada desde la administración y la contaduría; recoge las opiniones de los constructores y gerentes de las PYME de construcción en la ciudad de Pasto, específicamente sobre aspectos del proceso administrativo y de la dinámica de las áreas funcionales de una organización, incluyendo actividades de mercadeo, tecnología e innovación, además de dar una visión general de la situación financiera de las empresas y el retorno de las inversiones a sus accionistas; por último, recopila aspectos tributarios de índole nacional y local. Por lo tanto, es un tema de interés para conocer la dinámica de este sector.

Each interview focuses on the field in which the speaker was most active. The number of interviews in each field reflects its relative importance: three for industry, two for the country side and one each for the shantytowns and the universities. In the case of industry, anything less could scarcely have conveyed the range of views on its key issues, such as workers’ participation: hence the three selected are from the Communist Party, the MAPU and the Socialist Party.
