Ribosomal Protein Gene RPL9 Variants Can Differentially Impair Ribosome Function and Cellular Metabolism
Abstract: Variants in ribosomal protein (RP) genes drive Diamond-Blackfan anemia (DBA), a bone marrow failure syndrome that can also predispose individuals to cancer. Inherited and sporadic RP gene variants are also linked to a variety of phenotypes, including malignancy, in individuals with no anemia. Here we report an individual diagnosed with DBA carrying a variant in the 5′UTR of RPL9 (uL6). Additionally, we report two individuals from a family with multiple cancer incidences carrying a RPL9 missense variant. L'anémie de Blackfan-Diamond (ABD) est une érythroblastopénie congénitale rare secondaire à un blocage de la maturation des cellules érythroïdes entre les stades BFU-e (EPO indépendant) et CFU-e (EPO dépendant). La maladie se manifeste par une anémie arégénérative, le plus souvent macrocytaire. Dans 50% des cas, à l'anémie s'associe un syndrome malformatif affectant l'aire céphalique et les extrémités et incluant un retard de croissance. Bien que très hétérogène tant phénotypiquement que génotypiquement, l'ABD est due à des mutations toujours hétérozygotes dans des gènes de protéines ribosomiques (RP) pour 80% des cas. Lucienne Saby, aviatrice sportive
Biographie de l'aviatrice sportive Lucienne Saby. Avec Maryse Bastié, elle effectua des raids en Afrique avant la guerre de 1940. Née à Fournols en Auvergne, fille d'un scieur de long, elle passa le reste de sa vie à Meaux. Ce document reproduit de nombreux articles de presse relatant ses exploits. Lucienne Saby est décédée le 26 janvier 1988, à son domicile. Elle avait choisi cette date. Lucienne avait connu des personnalités du monde de l'aviation comme Fernand Malinveaud, R Delmotte, Mme Dupeyron, Maryse Hilsz, Maryse Bastié, Antoine de St Exupéry, Jean Mermoz, Pierre-Henri Clostermann, André Malraux et bien d'autres As de l'aviation de l'époque comme Henry Bouquillard. Ainsi s'achève le destin, à 80 ans, d'une petite auvergnate d'origine modeste. Ce document est le résultat d'une longue enquête commencée par hasard lors de recherche sur le patronyme Saby. On se contentera d'effeuiller quelques pans de sa vie sans pénétrer dans son intimité.
