O dicionário de Isaac Newton foi um dos primeiros produzidos em língua portuguesa, no Brasil, e tem sido referência em diversas enciclopédias musicais brasileiras. Atualmente é uma obra rara e a Fundação Casa do Penedo conta com exemplares de sua primeira e segunda edição, plenamente preservados, que foram utilizados como referência para este trabalho.
