O Programa de Pós-Graduação em Literatura Portuguesa da Faculdade de Filosofia, Letras e Ciências Humanas, da Universidade de São Paulo vem-se empenhando para promover anualmente um Evento, cujo objetivo é reunir, originalmente, alunos de Pós-Graduação, que apresentam o desenvolvimento de seus projetos de pesquisa. O livro Bernardo Santareno e as transformações da cena portuguesa no século XX reúne, por meio de múltiplos olhares, uma série de estudos sobre a obra desse autor, apresentando o grande legado que ele deixou para a dramaturgia e a relevância de sua produção para compreender as mudanças e evoluções da cena portuguesa, no decorrer do século XX. Organizada em treze capítulos distribuídos em duas partes, a coletânea traz uma abordagem a respeito da obra dramática santareniana, refletindo sobre a história do teatro português e a importante contribuição do autor teatral Bernardo Santareno para a literatura portuguesa.
