Dose Average Let Calculation For Proton Track Segments Through Microdosimetric Monte Carlo Simulations
Dose average LET can be obtained from Microdosimetric Monte Carlo (MC) simulations. A straightforward uniform sampling of the scoring site turns out to be computationally expensive, whereas for the more efficient weighted sampling approach present some issues. Here we address the issues associated to the latter method and propose adequate corrections to make it available to obtain dose average LET values from microdosimetry.
