This is an open access book. The Critical Island Studies Consortium (CIS) was born in 2019 in Manila with the theme, “Critical Island Studies: The Islandic Archipelago, and Oceanic.” The CIS consortium aims at developing a new planetary perspective from which to invent an image of the environment and create a new sense of nature with which to seek environmental justice. This conference in Yogyakarta is composed of two related yet autonomous sections; one is hosted by Universitas Sanata Dharma (USD) and the other by Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). With USD and UGM taking the lead, CIS 2023 continues to carve out the vision of a new, more sustainable future for our planet.
This book contains observations, reviews, and analyzes of English Language Education UNSIQ Semester IV students, on the phenomenon of teaching English in this era. As we know, in this digital era, teaching English must be able to follow the times according to the problems and situations. Because if it is not adjusted to the times, it can be said that teaching English will experience degradation and backwardness. This is one of the causes that lead to the failure of English language educators to be able to create students who have international insight through teaching and learning English. Based on the foregoing, English Education students try to criticize it by providing and presenting the problems of teaching English in Indonesia and offering solutions based on their perspective as prospective educators. This is of course very useful for students, especially helping students' knowledge horizons related to teaching and learning English directly, not just theory. Buku ini merupakan hasil dari sebuah penelitian yang berjudul “Algoritma K-Nearest Neighbor Berbasis Chi-Squared untuk Prediksi Nasabah Asuransi” yang telah dilakukan oleh penulis pada tahun 2014. Buku ini berisi 10 (sepuluh) pembahasan, yaitu pendahuluan, asuransi, data mining, k-nearest neighbor, feature selection, chi-square, pengujian k-fold cross validation, confusion matrix, kurva roc, serta algoritma k-nearest neighbor untuk prediksi nasabah asuransi.
The assessment of local, regional or national impacts of an influx of tourists – of different kind and origin – has in recent years become a new challenge for economics research in the tourism sector. There is a clear need to develop solid methodologies through which the socio-economic impacts of tourism can be assessed. Tourism impact assessment – as a systematic approach to the estimation of socio-economic effects of tourism on relevant parts of the economy – has become a timely response to the need for appropriate information for stakeholders, both public and private.
