Lorsqu'une adorable petite baigneuse chaussée de palmes et coiffée d'un bonnet jaune se met à imiter les gesticulations d'un flamant rose, celui-ci se montre particulièrement moqueur ! Pourtant, lorsque la petite fille vexée lui tourne le dos, c'est lui qui fait le premier pas... Alors l'un tend la main (ou l'aile) à l'autre, et les voilà partis dans une danse pleine de complicité. Sur quelques doubles, des volets que l'on soulève nous révèlent peu à peu l'amitié qui pointe son nez entre ces deux-là. A cela s'ajoute la poésie d'un message généreux et délicat. Au-delà de la parole, la danse est un langage par le biais duquel l'enfant et l'oiseau pourraient finir par s'entendre.
