Proceedings of the Seventh Italian Conference on Computational Linguistics CLiC-it 2020
On behalf of the Program Committee, a very warm welcome to the Seventh Italian Conference on Computational Linguistics (CLiC-it 2020). This edition of the conference is held in Bologna and organised by the University of Bologna. The CLiC-it conference series is an initiative of the Italian Association for Computational Linguistics (AILC) which, after six years of activity, has clearly established itself as the premier national forum for research and development in the fields of Computational Linguistics and Natural Language Processing, where leading researchers and practitioners from academia and industry meet to share their research results, experiences, and challenges.
I disegni inediti di Domenico Cirillo nella Società dei Naturalisti in Napoli
Dal riordinamento dell’Archivio della Società dei Naturalisti in Napoli riappaiono, dopo duecentoventi anni, alcuni disegni di insetti e piante di Domenico Cirillo (1739-1799), fortunosamente scampati alla furia dei sanfedisti quando saccheggiarono e distrussero la sua casa. Si trovavano confusi fra le carte del suo discepolo e amico Filippo Cavolini (1756-1810). Studiati con cura in questo volume, vengono per la prima volta resi noti agli studiosi e agli ammiratori del grande medico e naturalista, morto per i suoi ideali di giustizia e per il rinnovamento della società di antico regime. Arricchiscono il volume, oltre a contributi che documentano i contatti che Cirillo ebbe con artisti e tipografi, informazioni sui costi che sostenne per la pubblicazione dei suoi libri, a cui si aggiunge la storia occorsa alla carte manoscritte di Filippo Cavolini e della famiglia De Mellis, che confluirono nella Società dei Naturalisti.

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 9th International Conference, NooJ 2015, held in Minsk, Belarus, in June 2015. NooJ 2015 received 51 submissions. CLiC-it 2015 is held in Trento on December 3-4 2015, hosted and locally organized by Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK), one the most important Italian research centers for what concerns CL. The organization of the conference is the result of a fruitful conjoint effort of different research groups (Università di Torino, Università di Roma Tor Vergata and FBK) showing the nationwide spreading of CL in Italy. Drawing out her mother's childhood memories of life in southern Italy at the dawn of the twentieth century, Mary Melfi takes an unconventional approach to autobiographical writing. Italy Revisited serves as a double memoir, told in dialogue between a mother and a daughter. The conversation takes the reader to a medieval town high up in the mountains where time is told by the shadow the sun casts, where wheat and olive oil are the currency of choice (barter is in use), and where marriage is as much about property as it is about love. As they re-create that vanished world, the pair finds greater understanding of the tumultuous relationships that sometimes exist between immigrant mothers and their children.
