Inequality, Crisis and Social Change in Indonesia
Indonesia has experienced a quick succession of new governments and fundamental reforms since the collapse of Suharto's dictatorial regime in 1998. Established patterns in the distribution of wealth, power and knowledge have been disrupted, altered and re-asserted. The contributors to this volume have taken the unique opportunity this upheaval presents to uncover social tensions and fault lines in this society. Focusing in particular on disadvantaged sectors of Balinese society, the contributors describe how the effects of a national economic and political crisis combined with a variety of social aspirations at a grass roots level to elicit shifts in local and regional configurations of power and knowledge. This is the first time that many of them have been able to disseminate their controversial research findings without endangering their informants since the demise of the New Order regime.

So a strategy is needed to continue the academics activities. Virtual learning using technology is one way to keep the learning process running smoothly. Based on the situation, this year’s schedule of the Health Ministry Polytechnic of Padang 2022 wil focus on the substantial theme “The Role of Health Education in Preparedness Reserved Health Task Force for Disaster”, held in Padang, Indonesia, blended conference on 2nd – 3 rd November 2022. The conference particularly welcomes contributions from health educationalists, education managers, practitioners, researchers, and students. Indonesia beyond the Water’s Edge
Indonesia is the world’s largest archipelagic state, with more than 18,000 islands and over 7.9 million square kilometres of sea. The marine frontier presents the nation with both economic opportunities and political and strategic challenges. Indonesia has been affected more than most countries in the world by a slow revolution in the management of its waters. Whereas Indonesia’s seas were once conceived administratively as little more than the empty space between islands, successive governments have become aware that this view is outmoded. The effective transfer to the seas of regulatory regimes that took shape on land, such as territoriality, has been an enduring challenge to Indonesian governments. This book addresses issues related to maritime boundaries and security, marine safety, inter-island shipping, the development of the archipelagic concept in international law, marine conservation, illegal fishing, and the place of the sea in national and regional identity.
Financial Accounting
This book covers the principles, concepts, techniques and practical tools of financial accounting in supporting overall business decisions. Using a comprehensive theoretical framework, this book is enhanced by practical examples, exercises, chapter summaries and complex cases in each of the eleven chapters. With the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and their specific Conceptual Framework as the baseline approach, this book also highlights Romanian regulation and practice specifically.
