Identificar a causa de uma dor nem sempre é possível, pois a avaliação da intensidade de dor começa no autorrelato do paciente, e este contêm diversos vieses psicologicamente construídos ao longo da vida frente às diversas experiências e diferentes dores. Por isso, a epidemiologia considera aspectos individuais, econômicos e sociais para o estudo da dor, em virtude da subjetividade dos sintomas e da divergência de avaliações e diagnósticos. No cenário científico, a prevalência de dor também é controversa nos estudos, devido às diferenças em termos de definição de um episódio de dor e de estabelecimento de um diagnóstico, pois existem variações de caso para caso, considerando a cronificação, a intensidade, o tipo de dor, o tecido envolvido e aspectos biopsicossociais. Nesse contexto, a abordagem a um paciente pode ser determinante no sucesso do manejo clínico.

The Dynamics of Language and Inequality in Education
This book contributes new perspectives from the Global South on the ways in which linguistic and discursive boundaries shape inequalities in educational contexts, ranging from Amazonian missions to Mongolian universities. Through critical ethnographic and sociolinguistic analysis, the chapters explore how such boundaries contribute to the geopolitics of colonialism, capitalism and myriad, interwoven, forms of social life that structure both oppression and resistance. Boundaries are examined across time and space as relational constructs that mark the terms upon which admission to groups, institutions, territories, or practices are granted. The studies further present alternative educational approaches that demonstrate the potential for agency and transgression, highlighting moments of boundary crossing that disrupt existing linguistic ideologies, language policies and curriculum structures.

This compendium is intended to be the first updated review of most of the clinical situations that cancer patients may present. It identifies the clinical picture and the therapeutic orientation, with the degrees of recommendation and evidence, as well as the direct bibliographic reference for each statement. We took a multidisciplinary approach, with the collaboration of 261 authors from 9 countries, 45 hospitals and 19 medical and non-medical specialties. This compendium (IOC 2022) is the result of the effort and innovative spirit of its authors, will be updated every two years. The first international edition of cancer care support based on real world evidence (RWE) contains all the latest news in cancer care support treatment and assigns levels of evidence and grades of recommendation so that the reader can obtain a quick impression and certainty of each of the treatments and strategies presented. The GRADE and OXFORD scales have been used for the levels of evidence.
