"Wege entstehen beim Gehen"--Der Band beschreibt Neuaufbrüche einer traditionsreichen Ostuniversität: Die Alma Mater Rostockiensis, gegründet 1419, in Vorwendezeiten bereits hochschulpädagogisch aktiv, stellt hochschuldidaktische Initiativen vor: Zum einen geht es um die Konzeption und Auswertung der "Tage der Lehre", einem Verbund-Modell, das bei hochschulübergreifender Abstimmung von Bedarfen und Ressourcen für das ganze Land seit 1997 jährlich 15-30 Kursangebote zur Kompetenzerweiterung im Bereich Hochschuldidaktik bzw. Schlüsselqualifikation bereitstellt. Dann werden Anreizsysteme der Qualitätssicherung (z.B. Förderpreis für die Lehre) diskutiert. Zum Dritten werden aus verschiedenen Fakultäten Neuaufbrüche des Lehrens und Lernens vorgestellt, Antwortversuche auf neue Problemkonstellationen: Die Berichte verstehen sich als vorläufige Wegbilanzen, die ermutigen und anregen wollen, neue Lehr- und Lernwege kritisch-kommunikativ weiter zu entwickeln.
Knowledge Society, Information Society and Adult Education
At the end of the twentieth century, the concept of knowledge advanced to become one of the central factors of society and seemed to gain in importance in the twenty-first century, mostly understood as know-how and technical knowledge. Next to globalisation, knowledge seems to be the leading term both in public, as well as in scientific, discourses. What is more, the prominent status of knowledge is also reflected in the fact that it is used particularly in social sciences to explain complex social transitions and changes. Thus, one of the most widely discussed and debated social diagnoses takes place under the term Knowledge Society. However, the academic discipline of adult education has not yet profoundly engaged in the discourse on Knowledge Society. This book brings together a cross-section of European researchers in adult education who have contributed to the discourse on Knowledge Society from various perspectives. By presenting their recent research results, the book provides an overview of key concepts within the European discourse which, according to observations, is only at the beginning.

The volume Church as Politeia comprises fifteen papers which were presented at a German-British Research Colloquium of the Becket Institute in Oxford. In these papers the political self-understanding of Christianity is analyzed in its historical development from various denominational perspectives. The authors of these contributions are theologians, lawyers, philosophers and historians from Germany and Great Britain.
Gottesbilder von Grundschulkindern
Die in diesem Band vorgelegte Dokumentation ist ein Forschungsprojekt der Evangelischen Hochschule Freiburg zum Bereich der Kindertheologie gewesen (= Gott der Kinder, Band 3). Untersucht wurden Äußerungen von Grundschülern und Grundschülerinnen in der Corona-Zeit zum Thema Gottesbild: Ob Gott Gewitter erzeugen kann oder göttliche Geschenke ein preisliches Limit nicht überschreiten dürfen, zeigten die Kinder der befragten zweiten und vierten Klassen zu den Themen der Persönlichkeit von und Kommunikation mit Gott. In der Zeit der Covid-19-Pandemie entstanden, beschreibt das Projekt darüber hinaus exemplarisch die gedachten Zusammenhänge zwischen einer Existenz Gottes und Corona aus der Sicht der von uns befragten Kinder.
