Esta obra: Educação de Jovens e Adultos em debate, volume I é uma obra que está sendo apresentada como resultado de todos aqueles que acreditaram nesse projeto com a participação de alunos do curso de História, Matemática e Pedagogia da Universidade Federal de Roraima e de alguns pesquisadores, que contribuíram oferecendo seus trabalhos para fazerem parte desta compilação de artigos que formam esse primeiro volume. A publicação desta obra é inédita no nosso Estado, e espero que siga com o volume II no próximo ano e assim por diante, nesse momento da história em que a EJA e a educação popular como um todo vêm sofrendo golpes de todos os lados desse governo golpista que não tem compromisso com os menos favorecidos desse país, e também não demonstra nenhum respeito com os educadores da rede pública que atuam nas nossas escolas, já tão sucateadas e relegadas.

Racial Subordination in Latin America
There are approximately 150 million people of African descent in Latin America yet Afro-descendants have been consistently marginalized as undesirable elements of the society. Latin America has nevertheless long prided itself on its absence of U.S.-styled state-mandated Jim Crow racial segregation laws. This book disrupts the traditional narrative of Latin America's legally benign racial past by comprehensively examining the existence of customary laws of racial regulation and the historic complicity of Latin American states in erecting and sustaining racial hierarchies. Tanya Katerí Hernández is the first author to consider the salience of the customary law of race regulation for the contemporary development of racial equality laws across the region. Therefore, the book has a particular relevance for the contemporary U.S. racial context in which Jim Crow laws have long been abolished and a "post-racial" rhetoric undermines the commitment to racial equality laws and policies amidst a backdrop of continued inequality.
Getting Intimate
This thesis focuses on the intersections of masculinity, old age and sexuality from the perspectives of old men themselves, how they understand and experience sex and sexuality in later life. The study uses qualitative in-depth interviews and body diaries, an exploratory method that asked men write about their bodies in everyday life. Twenty-two men, born between 1922 and 1942, participated in the study. From 1990 1994 the Danish Research Council for the Humanities granted a research project entitled translation of LSP texts, which was initially split up into five part-projects, one of which has been concerned with LSP lexicography."The Manual of Specialised Lexicography" is one of the results of the research undertaken by this project. The primary purpose of the Manual is to contribute towards an improved basis for practical specialised lexicography, which has so far had but a small share in the explosive development that has taken place in general-language lexicography since the early 1970s. One implication of this is that only to a limited extent has it been possible to build upon existing findings.The Manual thus has the twofold aim of offering guidance and direction to authors of specialised dictionaries as well as contributing towards the further development of lexicographical theories.
