Este livro, que tem como base a minha dissertação de Mestrado, traz a experiência da mulher com deficiência através do meu relato, o relato de Lia, Diana e de Miranda ante o DIREITO como mecanismo de poder que não fala por nós, ao revés, tem muito do capacitismo. Para tanto, é realizada uma abordagem que conecta escrita, pensamento e vida como modo de retorcer o DIREITO e a produção hegemônica de conhecimento, que fazem parte do organismo. Ao buscar a concretização do pensamento-experiência por meio da arte-conhecimento, promove uma escrita de ruptura, que, em certos pontos, é inteiramente prosaica e performativa. O recorte dado ao DIREITO como "regulador de conduta" está nas disposições jurídicas relativas à capacidade jurídica, no Código de Civil de 2002 e no Estatuto da Pessoa com Deficiência. Aqui, a postura do DIREITO é complexificada através do posicionamento capacitista do Direito Civil no Código Civil/2002 (versão original) e da disposição inclusiva do Estatuto da Pessoa com Deficiência, tornando, assim, fundamental um direito pela experiência e pelo devir, que abandone o rigor e a tradição capacitista.

Este é um livro que se faz nas entranhas do direito. Nos propomos a olhar, investigar, (re)mexer, cutucar, percorrer os caminhos que essas entranhas constituem. Entranhas essas, que como as vísceras intestinais, são repletas de dobras. O direito, assim como todo corpo, também possui as suas dobras. Bee Products - Chemical and Biological Properties
This book presents an updated discussion of the chemical composition and biological properties of the main bee products. Specific attention is focused on the beneficial biological activities of bee products in human health. Honey, royal jelly, propolis, bee pollen and bee venom are used as nutriment and in traditional medicine. Their composition is rather variable and depends on the floral source and external factors, such as seasonal, environmental conditions and processing. Bee products are rich in several essential nutrients and non essential nutrients, as sugars, minerals, proteins, free amino acids, vitamins, enzymes and polyphenols, that seem to be closely related to their biological functions. The effects of these products in nutrition, aging and age-related diseases, cancer, neurodegenerative diseases and pathogen infections are discussed.
Spatial Impacts of Climate Change
Climate change has been a central concern over recent years, with visible and highly publicized consequences such as melting Arctic ice and mountain glaciers, rising sea levels, and the submersion of low-lying coastal areas during mid-latitude and tropical cyclones. This book presents a review of the spatial impacts of contemporary climate change, with a focus on a systematic, multi-scalar approach. Meshless Methods in Biomechanics
This book presents the complete formulation of a new advanced discretization meshless technique: the Natural Neighbour Radial Point Interpolation Method (NNRPIM). In addition, two of the most popular meshless methods, the EFGM and the RPIM, are fully presented. Being a truly meshless method, the major advantages of the NNRPIM over the FEM and other meshless methods, are the remeshing flexibility and the higher accuracy of the obtained variable field. Using the natural neighbour concept, the NNRPIM permits to determine organically the influence-domain, resembling the cellulae natural behaviour. This innovation permits the analysis of convex boundaries and extremely irregular meshes, which is an advantage in the biomechanical analysis, with no extra computational effort associated. This volume shows how to extend the NNRPIM to the bone tissue remodelling analysis, expecting to contribute with new numerical tools and strategies in order to permit a more efficient numerical biomechanical analysis.
