Este livro procurou descrever a Educação para mulheres em privação de liberdade e o fenômeno mostrou-se na sua essência, a fragilidade do ambiente prisional em cumprir as leis e os direitos das reeducandas no tocante a educação. Pois ainda que garantida em lei a educação em prisões se mostra tímida na sua aplicação e para um sistema excludente, ela se tornou mais um privilégio que um direito. A falta de servidores, salas de aula sem estrutura, as próprias questões relacionadas à segurança são fatores que colaboram com a fragilidade dessa educação. Contudo para as mulheres reeducandas que desejam mudança a educação se mostra na sua essência como a porta principal, para garantir melhores condições humanas de vida ao regressarem à sociedade. Ante a essa constatação resta o desejo que a educação seja realmente um direito humano e universal para as mulheres em privação de liberdade.

About Trees considers our relationship with language, landscape, perception, and memory in the Anthropocene. The book includes texts and artwork by a stellar line up of contributors including Jorge Luis Borges, Andrea Bowers, Ursula K. Le Guin, Ada Lovelace and dozens of others. Holten was artist in residence at Buro BDP. While working on the book she created an alphabet and used it to make a new typeface called Trees. She also made a series of limited edition offset prints based on her Tree Drawings.
