Educación superior y calidad en Colombia
América Latina, y específicamente Colombia, a partir de la década de 1990 aborda la calidad de la educación superior a través del proceso de acreditación, el cual clasifica a las instituciones de educación, configura un nuevo orden geográfico del saber y fomenta la competencia de los sectores público y privado. El libro que tiene en sus manos está organizado en cuatro apartados. El primero expone la complejidad y desafíos del desarrollo de la educación superior. El segundo aborda el proceso de evaluación de la educación superior, específicamente la acreditación. El tercero presenta el estado y devenir de la calidad en Colombia. Por último, se expone un conjunto de conclusiones que analizan la educación superior y la calidad en el país. La investigación trata preguntas tales como: ¿qué es la educación superior?, ¿cuál es la relación entre la educación superior y la universidad?, ¿qué es la calidad de la educación superior?, ¿cuál es la calidad de la educación superior en Colombia? Asimismo, promueve en el lector diversas inquietudes que animan el desarrollo de la educación superior más allá de la calidad.
Sentidos de la educación superior y perspectivas críticas sobre el concepto de calidad
Este libro reúne reflexiones críticas sobre el concepto de calidad en la educación superior. Entender la calidad como una noción multidimensional, contextual y de poder constituye la premisa de los textos que aquí se reúnen y que han sido elaborados acudiendo a una perspectiva interdisciplinaria que dialoga con la ciencia política, la antropología, las ciencias económicas, la pedagogía y los estudios rurales. Además de presentar una discusión general sobre el concepto de calidad en la educación superior contemporánea, el libro propone una aproximación crítica a las tendencias observadas en el caso colombiano, y plantea cómo la comprensión de la calidad se enriquece y reconfigura cuando se le confronta con los desafíos que surgen desde la interculturalidad, la ruralidad, la construcción de paz, la formación docente y la pedagogía. Hablar de calidad remite a discusiones más amplias sobre los sentidos de la educación superior.

En tiempos multiculturales muchas de las prácticas culturales se mueven entre las matrices locales de creación y las políticas de patrimonialización y la globalización. En este contexto, el libro aborda varios aspectos de este fenómeno: la relevancia del patrimonio, la participación del Estado, las instituciones, las comunidades y el intercambio cultural que transita entre lo local, lo nacional y lo internacional.

This book features a discussion on the modernisation of law and legal change, focusing on the key concepts of innovation" and "transition". These concepts both appear to be relevant and poorly defined in contemporary legal science. A critical reflection on the heuristic value of these categories seems appropriate, particularly considering their dyadic value. While innovation is increasingly appearing in the present day as being the category in which one looks at the modernisation of law, the concept of transition also seems to be the privileged place of occurrence for such dynamics. This group of Italian and Brazilian scholars contributing to this volume intends to investigate such problems through an interdisciplinary prism. It includes points of view both internal to legal studies - such as the history of law, theory of law, constitutional law, private law and commercial law - and external, such as political philosophy and history of justice and political institutions.
