Novi Slovenski biografski leksikon. Prvi zvezek
Eden osrednjih projektov ZRC SAZU je Novi Slovenski biografski leksikon, ki nadaljuje delo Slovenskega biografskega leksikona, izjemne leksikografske publikacije, ki je izhajala celih 65 let (1925–1991). Prvi zvezek (osebnosti s priimki na èrko A) v 189 razširjenih opisih predstavlja najvidnejše slovenske in s Slovenijo povezane osebnosti iz vseh obdobij naše zgodovine. Dopolnjuje ga spletni portal z naslovom Slovenska biografija (www.slovenska-biografija.si), v kateri je trenutno okoli 5100 gesel. Beseda leksikon je malce zavajajoèa, saj je glavna odlika dela izèrpen in sorazmerno obsežen opis življenja in dela osebe. Poleg podrobnih stvarnih podatkov o rojstvu, šolanju in zaposlitvah, znaèilnih za leksikone, je pogosto predstavljeno tudi kulturnozgodovinsko ozadje posameznikovega dela in delovanja. Ker so avtorji gesel praviloma tudi strokovnjaki s podroèij, na katerih so delovale ali še delujejo predstavljene osebnosti, je vsebinska predstavitev še posebej temeljita in posodobljena z novimi spoznanji.

Non-coding RNA and the Reproductive System
This book provides an overview of the role and function of regulatory RNAs that lack protein-coding potential in key reproductive tissues. This includes the role of small interfering RNAs (siRNAs), microRNAs (miRNAs), PIWI-interacting RNAs (piRNAs), small nucleolar RNAs (snoRNAs) and long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs). Monografija, že deveta po vrsti, v kar 42 znanstvenih in strokovnih prispevkih predstavlja presek trenutnega stanja uporabe geografskih informacijskih sistemov (GIS) v Sloveniji. V monografiji je predstavljana cela vrsta možnosti njihove uporabe, saj je tri četrtine prispevkov z aplikativno vsebino. Predstavljena je možnost njihove uporabe v geografiji, geologiji, geodeziji, kartografiji, pedologiji, biologiji, gozdarstvu, gradbeništvu, vodarstvu, pa tudi v dialektologiji, arheologiji, zgodovini, pri preučevanju kulturne dediščine in naravnih nesreč, ter pri prostorskem načrtovanju. Z GIS-i prostor vse bolj vstopa v številne znanosti, ki s pomočjo novih tehnoloških prijemov preučevane procese prostorsko umestijo in s tem dodajo novo dodano vrednost, ki je v preteklosti le izjemoma prišla do izraza.
