On Feb. 15, 1652, Juan de Zúñiga petitions the king for special privileges for his son Alonso, who is about to leave for Spain as a soldier in the company of Don Tomás de la Varrera. Alonso is Juan's second son, and next in line to the eldest son, Cristóbal, to inherit the mayorazgo.
