A proposta de escrever para publicação exerce uma função social e utilitária, considerando que, ultimamente, os jovens têm cada vez menos oportunidades de ler e escrever para buscar conhecimentos e entretenimento, haja vista a rapidez e necessidade mais crescente de uso das redes sociais. Assim sendo, entende-se que a continuação do saber acumulado sobre a língua e a linguagem e a apreciação da literatura só são possíveis mediante utilização constante do livro e estimulação das novas gerações à prática constante da leitura e da escrita no cotidiano. O prazer de ler e a emoção de conhecer novos autores traz uma esperança para os que amam os livros e a literatura, além de transmitir sentimentos e novas formas de ver, ouvir e viver.
