Reparative Aesthetics
By offering a new way of thinking about the role of politically engaged art, Susan Best opens up a new aesthetic field: reparative aesthetics. The book identifies an innovative aesthetic on the part of women photographers from the southern hemisphere, who against the dominant modes of criticality in political art, look at how cultural production can be reparative. Reparative Aesthetics contributes an entirely new theory to the interdisciplinary fields of aesthetics, affect studies, feminist theory, politics and photography. Conceptually innovative and fiercely original this book will move us beyond old political and cultural stalemates and into new terrain for analysis and reflection.

Como parte das comemorações dos 25 anos do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação Especial (PPGEEs) da UFSCar, esta obra apresenta resumos das teses e dissertações defendidas, objetivando divulgar o trabalho inovador e abrangente desenvolvido por alunos e professores. Ao longo deste um quarto de século, o programa tem buscado contribuir, de maneira intencional e planejada, para a superação de uma Educação Especial equivocada, a qual responsabiliza o aluno, com necessidades educacionais especiais ou o seu meio próximo, por suas dificuldades de aprendizagem e adaptação ao meio social, exercendo uma função segregadora e atuando contra os ideais de inclusão e integração social de portadores de deficiências e contra a garantia de sua plena cidadania.
Satisfação escolar e bem-estar psicológico em adolescentes portugueses
Estudos anteriores têm demonstrado a importância da satisfação com o contexto escolar nos níveis de saúde e bem-estar subjectivo dos adolescentes. Como tal, o presente estudo pretende ampliar esta evidência empírica através da análise do efeito de variáveis sociodemográficas (género, idade, local de residência, estatuto socioeconómico e relação com os pais) nos níveis de satisfação escolar e o contributo desta dimensão para a explicação do bemestar psicológico dos alunos, de acordo com o modelo de Ryff (1989a, 1989b).
