Design automation of electronic and hybrid systems is a steadily growing field of interest and a permanent challenge for researchers in Electronics, Computer Engineering and Computer Science. System Design Automation presents some recent results in design automation of different types of electronic and mechatronic systems. It deals with various topics of design automation, ranging from high level digital system synthesis, through analogue and heterogeneous system analysis and design, up to system modeling and simulation. Design automation is treated from the aspects of its theoretical fundamentals, its basic approach and its methods and tools. Several application cases are presented in detai...

Annotation This proceedings contains extended version of a selected subset of the contributions presented at the May 1999 IEEE workshop. The 27 papers share research and development (RandD) results in electronic testing. Topics include calculating efficient LFSR seeds for built-in self test, functional and structural testing of switched-current circuits, compaction of IDDQ test sequence using reassignment method, debug facilities in the TriMedia CPU64 architecture, deterministic BIST with partial scan, and using the BS register for capturing and storing n-bit sequences in real-time. Other papers address MEMs, switched capacitors, ATPG and fault modeling, fault simulation and fault coverage of analog circuits, FPGAs and regular arrays, and low power BIST. No subject index. This pertinent and highly original volume explores how ideas of Europe and processes of continental political, socio-economic, and cultural integration have been intertwined since the nineteenth century. Applying a wider definition of Europeanization in the sense of "becoming European", it will pay equal attention to counter-processes of disentanglement and disintegration that have accompanied, slowed down, or displaced such trends and developments. By focusing on the practices, agents, and experience of Europeanization, the volume strives to bring together the history of ideas and the history of human actions and conduct, two approaches that are usually treated separately in the field of European studies.
