Tretji zvezek vsebuje izčrpen zgodovinski uvod o priseljevanju, organiziranosti in kulturnem delovanju Slovencev v Južni Ameriki. Sledi predstavitev literarnega dela (poezije in proze) južnoameriških Slovencev pred drugo svetovno vojno. Poglavje o književnosti povojnih slovenskih priseljencev na tej celini je zaradi obsežnega gradiva razdeljeno na pregled proze, poezije in dramatike, zaključuje pa ga predstavitev literarnega dela slovenskih izseljencev v španskem jeziku. Dodatek Biografije in bibliografije vsebuje podatke o 32 avtorjih. Poglavja so opremljena z opombami in seznami uporabne literature, zvezek pa še s kazalom oseb in periodike. Bio-bibliografskemu dodatku sledijo zaključna poglavja celotne tridelne monografije: sklep, obsežen angleški povzetek in izbor strokovne literature. V vseh treh zvezkih je celoviteje individualno predstavljenih 144 piscev (ti so vključeni v bio-bibliografske dodatke k vsakemu zvezku), sintetična poglavja pa vsebujejo kratke predstavitve ali omembe približno še prav toliko obrobnejših piscev.

Znanstvena komentirana izdaja izvirnega gradiva Slovenske ljudskem pesmi V – družinske pripovedne pesmi je unikum v slovenskem prostoru. Je peta knjiga obsežnega korpusa SLP. V tej knjigi je objavljenih kar 54 tipov pripovednih pesmi o družinskih usodah z 857 variantami (in še 62 variant srbskih in hrvaških na slovenskem ozemlju), z melodijami in znanstvenimi tekstološkimi, etnomuzikološkimi, zgodovinskimi, sociološkimi komentarji oziroma študijami. Ta monografija prinaša celoten korpus družinskih pripovednih pesmi od prvih zapisov iz 18. in 19 stoletja pa do najnovejših zvočnih posnetkov vse do leta 2001.
