Lives of the Prophets
In Lives of the Prophets: The Illustrations to Hafiz-i Abru’s “Assembly of Chronicles” Mohamad Reza Ghiasian analyses two extant copies of the Majmaʿ al-tawarikh produced for the Timurid ruler Shahrukh (r. 1405–1447). The first manuscript is kept in Topkapı Palace and the second is widely dispersed. Codicological analysis of these manuscripts not only allows a better understanding of Hafiz-i Abru’s contributions to rewriting earlier history, but has served to identify the existence of a previously unrecognised copy of the Jamiʿ al-tawarikh produced at Rashid al-Din’s scriptorium. Through a meticulous close reading of both text and image, Mohamad Reza Ghiasian convincingly proves that numerous paintings of the dispersed manuscript were painted over the text before its dispersal in the early twentieth century.

Graph-Theoretic Problems and Their New Applications
Graph theory is an important area of applied mathematics with a broad spectrum of applications in many fields. This book results from aSpecialIssue in the journal Mathematics entitled “Graph-Theoretic Problems and Their New Applications”. It contains 20 articles covering a broad spectrum of graph-theoretic works that were selected from 151 submitted papers after a thorough refereeing process. Among others, it includes a deep survey on mixed graphs and their use for solutions ti scheduling problems. Other subjects include topological indices, domination numbers of graphs, domination games, contraction mappings, and neutrosophic graphs. Kajian Tengah Tahun (KTT) 2018 merupakan evaluasi INDEF atas kinerja perekonomian domestik maupun global pada semester pertama 2018. KTT merupakan kegiatan yang rutin dilakukan INDEF setiap pertengahan tahun sebagai upaya mengevaluasi perekonomian secara objektif dan independen serta menawarkan sejumlah solusi bagi perbaikan kinerja perekonomian ke depan. Pada KTT 2018, INDEF mengambil tema “Ekonomi Pasca Pilkada”, dengan harapan segera adanya perbaikan kinerja ekonomi dan upaya peningkatan kesejahteraan setelah terpilihnya para pemimpin daerah pada Pilkada serentak 27 Juni 2018.
