HPI Future SOC Lab – Proceedings 2018
The “HPI Future SOC Lab” is a cooperation of the Hasso Plattner Institute (HPI) and industry partners. Its mission is to enable and promote exchange and interaction between the research community and the industry partners. The HPI Future SOC Lab provides researchers with free of charge access to a complete infrastructure of state of the art hard and software. This infrastructure includes components, which might be too expensive for an ordinary research environment, such as servers with up to 64 cores and 2 TB main memory. The offerings address researchers particularly from but not limited to the areas of computer science and business information systems. Main areas of research include cloud computing, parallelization, and In-Memory technologies. This technical report presents results of research projects executed in 2018. Selected projects have presented their results on April 17th and November 14th 2017 at the Future SOC Lab Day events.
Process Mining Workshops
This open access book constitutes revised selected papers from the International Workshops held at the Third International Conference on Process Mining, ICPM 2021, which took place in Eindhoven, The Netherlands, during October 31–November 4, 2021. The conference focuses on the area of process mining research and practice, including theory, algorithmic challenges, and applications. The co-located workshops provided a forum for novel research ideas. The 28 papers included in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 65 submissions. In this book, Mathias Weske details the complete business process lifecycle from process modeling to process enactment and process evaluation. Business Process Management Forum
This book constitutes the proceedings of the BPM Forum held at the 20th International Conference on Business Process Management, BPM 2022, which took place in Münster, Germany, in September 2022. The BPM Forum hosts innovative research which has a high potential of stimulating discussions. The papers selected for the forum are expected to showcase fresh ideas from exciting and emerging topics in BPM, even if they are not yet as mature as the regular papers at the conference. The 13 full papers included in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 98 submissions. Intelligent Information Systems
This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed proceedings of the CAiSE Forum 2023 which was held in Zaragoza, Spain, in June 2023, as part of the 35th International Conference on Advanced Information Systems Engineering, CAiSE 2023. The CAiSE Forum is a place within the CAiSE conference for presenting and discussing new ideas and tools related to information systems engineering. Intended to serve as an interactive platform, the Forum aims at the presentation of emerging new topics and controversial positions, as well as demonstration of innovative systems, tools and applications. This year’s edition of the conference put a special emphasis on the theme of Cyber-Human Systems. A total of 25 papers was sent for peer review. 12 of these papers were invited from CAiSE and 13 have been directly submitted to the Forum. After a careful review and selection, 12 of the invited and 6 of the newly submitted papers have been accepted for publication.
Conceptual Modeling
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 42nd International Conference on Conceptual Modeling, ER 2023, held in Lisbon, Portugal, during November 6-9, 2023. The 21 full papers were carefully reviewed and selected from 121 submissions. Additionally, the book contains 4 keynote speeches and 3 tutorials, and one invited paper corresponding to one of the keynote speeches. The papers cover a broad spectrum of classical and modern topics on conceptual modeling, including research and practice in the theories of concepts and ontologies, techniques for transforming conceptual models into effective implementations, and methods and tools for developing and communicating conceptual models.

This book constitutes the proceedings of the 26th International Conference on Enterprise Design, Operations, and Computing, EDOC 2022, which took place in Bozen-Bolzano, Italy, in October 2022.
