L'image-friction
Cet ouvrage permet de revisiter et de repenser autrement les films du cinéma et les vidéos à partir du concept d'image-friction. Ce dernier approfondit les concepts, produits par Deleuze il y a 40 ans, d'image-mouvement et d'image-temps, en insistant d'une part sur les concepts d'image-perception, d'image-affection, d'image-pulsion, d'image-action, d'autre part sur ceux de choc, de contradiction, d'opposition. Le flux n'est pas un long fleuve tranquille, mais le lieu d'une lutte torrentielle : c'est même parfois la guerre entre les images et entre les images et les sons. Frictions extérieures pour les images matérielles qui se heurtent sous nos yeux et frictions intérieures pour les images mentales du spectateur. Aussi bien avec l'art qu'avec le sans-art, avec l'art cinématographique qu'avec l'art contemporain. D'où les approches plurielles : théorétiques, (auto)poïétiques, poétiques et esthétiques, au point d'ouvrir sur une nouvelle esthétique de la vidéo et du cinéma.
