Dynamic Perspective of Trade Balance
Objective - This paper studies the influence of some determinants of trade balance for Southeast Asia countries in dynamics perspective before the global financial crisis of 2008.Methodology/Technique - Based on quarterly data (1980q1 to 2007q3), the investigation is carried out using VECM.Findings - The results show that in the long run: (i) income effect is found to be dominant in determining the change in trade balance; (ii) the cash balance effect does influence bilateral trade; (iii) bilateral trade is affected by exchange rate movements. Further, the effect of small economies are suspected to be present in Southeast Asia region. Meanwhile, in the short run: (i) the cash balance effect plays a major role in influencing trade balance improvement; (ii) compared to the cash balance effect, the income effect is present with slightly less contribution; (iii) the exchange rate effect is observed in the analysis, while a J-curve phenomenon exists in minor cases.Novelty - This paper concludes that in the long term, income effect is found to be dominant in determining the change in trade balance.Type of Paper: Empirical.

This theory and practice book is aimed at first-year students of Phonetics and Phonology. It is designed for use on twelve- or fourteen-week course on English Phonetics and Phonology of sort taught in the first year of many English Language and Linguistics degree. Students on such courses can struggle with English Phonetics and Phonology. This book attempts to show students why we need to know about Phonetics and Phonology, if we are interested in language and our knowledge of it, as well as introducing the main units and concepts we require to describe speech sounds accurately. It is based on a book I wrote which was published in the previous year. The book, which had the title Fluency in English Pronunciation has now been revised and updated. Since I feel that this book still has some use, I have taken many great works from many experts in (English) Phonetics and Phonology, and hope that it will be useful to students in getting to grips with all matters in English Phonetics and Phonology.

People with Special Needs: Policy Recommendations
Being able to do advocacy on health issues is a competency needed by graduates of higher education. Unfortunately, based on research, the role of advocating is considered less significant than other roles. Education in the health sector itself was also identified as providing only limited opportunities to be able to facilitate the achievement of this role. Exposure to advocacy learning requires experience initiation and service exposure in the community so that students get a broad understanding of how advocacy can be carried out. Students are expected to be able to deeply appreciate the various social determinants to develop global health advocacy skill. One of the outcomes of formal global health advocacy is policy brief. There are various ways, challenges, and innovations in encouraging students to write policy brief. Duta Wacana Christian University School of Medicine with World Nations International collaborated in implementing the Global Health Advocacy Course. This course is expected to facilitate students to understand global health advocacy and then encourage students to make policy brief on that theme.
