Temas emergentes à educação
Os debates educacionais contemporâneos carregam diversos temas emergentes de contextos de problematização de questões como gênero, diversidade, meio ambiente, cinema e arte, e a docência. Devido a isto, trazemos essa compilação de discussões neste livro, buscando abranger o que entendemos como “temáticas emergentes”, com base na resolução no 2/2015 (Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais para a formação inicial em nível superior de professores), sendo elas: o respeito às diferenças de natureza ambiental-ecológico; étnico-racial; gêneros; faixas geracionais; classes sociais; religiosas; necessidades especiais; diversidade sexual. Dispomos no Volume I do livro “Temas Emergentes na Educação” de temáticas em comuns trazidas nos Capítulos que possuem uma proximidade de questões problematizadas em relação à profissão docente, formação de professores (as), questões contemporâneas que permeiam a docência e escola, processos de ensino e aprendizagem, e o cenário atual da docência. Desse modo, convidamos a navegar nos escritos, estudos, reflexões que compõem os capítulos deste livro.
Educação, Hospitalidade e Pobreza
Educar é hospedar o outro da relação educacional. A partir dessa ideia, constitui-se o corpo teórico que embasa os artigos deste livro. Oriundos das pesquisas realizadas pelo Grupo de Estudos, Pesquisa e Extensão Fora da Sala de Aula, da Faculdade de Formação de Professores da Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (FFP/UERJ), os pesquisadores oferecem aos leitores discussões pautadas sobre o conceito de hospitalidade, organizado pela teórica Isabel Baptista, e as práticas educativas não escolares.

O livro é uma iniciativa da Regional 1 (R1) da Associação Brasileira de Ensino de Biologia. A obra reúne 54 trabalhos apresentados durante o V Encontro Regional de Ensino de Biologia da R1 (MT, MS e SP). Os textos refletem uma diversidade de abordagens e um constante fortalecimento do Ensino de Ciências e Biologia em nosso país.
Computational Processing of the Portuguese Language
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 12th International Conference on Computational Processing of the Portuguese Language, PROPOR 2016, held in Tomar, Portugal, in July 2016. The 23 full papers and 14 short papers presented in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 52 submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections named: language applications, language processing, and language resources.
Lisbon
Fernando Pesoa wrote this guide to Lisbon, in English, at some point during the 1920s. It was never published and the manuscript was only found amongst his papers long after his death. Its interest is twofold : anything form Pesoa's pen is de facto of interest, but je is also the quintessential city poet, and very much the poet of the cityof Lisbon. He loved the city, knew all of its corners, and scarcely left it after his early years there, following his school-days in Durban. The book can stillbe used as a guide today. The text has been updated only so as to take account of the modern Portuguese spelling of names and places (4e de couv. ).
THE ORGANIZATION AND ORDER OF BATTLE OF MILITARIES IN WORLD WAR II
There are numerous Order of Battle books on the market. So what makes this one so special? Why should one decide on this particular book? Most Order of Battle books usually deal only with the division and corps level of a country's army. Most higher commands are not covered. This book deals with all the branches of a country's military, giving a breakdown of all the major echelons of command, from theater down to brigade, under each component (army group, armies, corps, division, and brigade), and the equivalent command structure for the other military branches are included. Second, it attempts to give an overall command structure of the country's military, showing the central headquarters command structure as well as the major components (army groups, armies, corps, etc.) Third, most Order of Battle books list the commanders and their dates of tenure. This book includes those but also lists their next duty assignments or where they went after leaving the post. One can literally trace a general officer's career through the upper echelons of command, making this completely different from all the other Order of Battle books on the market.
