A presente coletânea vem a público em um momento conturbado para a educação básica brasileira, sobretudo para o ensino médio. Promulgada em 31 de julho de 2024, a Lei n.º 14.945 visou corrigir os equívocos da Lei n.º 13.415/2017 que instituiu, de maneira arbitrária, o chamado Novo Ensino Médio (NEM). Embora tenha restituído a obrigatoriedade de disciplinas que haviam perdido espaço no arranjo curricular anterior, sua elaboração desconsiderou a perspectiva dos estudantes, professores e profissionais da educação básica – erro crasso que já havia sido cometido. Nosso intuito, portanto, consiste em reafirmar o valor e a importância da Filosofia para a formação das pessoas, disciplina que consideramos indispensável para o conhecimento da realidade objetiva que nos cerca e para a descoberta de si mesmo.

A coletânea ENSINO DE FILOSOFIA: PESQUISAS E PRÁTICAS PEDAGÓGICAS NAS DIFERENTES LINGUAGENS E ESPAÇOS apresenta resultados de pesquisas e práticas pedagógicas bem como alguns fundamentos teóricos e conceituais presentes no Ensino de Filosofia no Brasil. Com a organização e publicação desta coletânea ocorre uma contribuição para o registro e a divulgação das pesquisas e práticas no Ensino de Filosofia, ao mesmo tempo que reafirma-se o compromisso, como docentes e pesquisadores, em continuar militando política e academicamente para a permanência da Filosofia como disciplina na educação básica e no ensino superior no Brasil, com a certeza de que essa permanência precisa ocorrer com qualidade filosófica e formativa para os sujeitos da aprendizagem no cotidiano escolar.
