Marco Lucchesi: Práticas das transformações silenciosas é o nome de um grupo de pesquisa - devidamente certificado pelo CNPq - que, desde o início de 2021, reúne-se para discutir o conjunto de obras do escritor. Esta coletânea de ensaios, que materializa a pesquisa do grupo, é a primeira de muitas outras que, seguramente, atravessarão as memórias do futuro, (como diria o nosso poeta em questão). Espera contribuir, de forma significativa, com outros pesquisadores sobre Marco Lucchesi. Este livro reúne as conferências apresentadas durante o I Colóquio Internacional Marco Lucchesi que ocorreu em Roma nos dias 15 e 16 de janeiro de 2024 na Embaixada do Brasil. The Riddle of Qaf
The search for the origins of a forgotten sacred poem is at the heart of this novel about a modern Brazilian poet of Lebanese descent who travels to the Middle East to uncover the truth about what he believes may be part of a group of pre-Islamic poems. Following the model of "A Thousand and One Nights," the novel is a quest through time and language that recounts many of the poet's experiences as he travels through the deserts of Arabia in search of a beautiful woman whose beauty remains hidden until the circularity of the riddle of Qaf is solved.
Poets of the Italian Diaspora
In the century between 1870 and 1970, about twenty-seven million migrants left Italy to work and live abroad. As a result, the worldwide Italian diaspora reportedly numbers more than sixty million people. Until now, however, there has not been an anthology devoted to the literature of the Italian diaspora that places it in a global context. This landmark volume presents a truly international selection of works by more than seventy Italian-language poets who are writing in countries from Australia to Venezuela. Their poetry is collected here into eleven geographical regions. The history and current state of Italian-language poetry in each region receives a critical overview by a knowledgeable scholar, who also introduces each poet and provides a bibliography of his or her work. All poems appear on facing pages in both Italian and English. Poets of the Italian Diaspora is part of a long-range project, by the editors and contributors, to expand the boundaries of the Italian literary canon.
Space, Place and Autonomy in Language Learning
This book explores theories of space and place in relation to autonomy in language learning. Encompassing a wide range of linguistically and culturally diverse learning contexts, this edited collection brings together research papers from academics working in fourteen countries. In their studies, these researchers examine physical, virtual and metaphorical learning spaces from a wide range of theoretical and interdisciplinary perspectives (semiotic, ecological, complexity, human geography, linguistic landscapes, mediated discourse analysis, sociocultural, constructivist and social constructivist) and methodological approaches. The book traces its origins to the first-ever symposium on space, place and autonomy, which was held at the International Association of Applied Linguistics (AILA) 2014 World Congress in Brisbane. The final chapter, which presents a thematic analysis of the papers in this volume, discusses the implications for theory development, further enquiry, and pedagogical practice.
