First Order Fire Effects Model
A First Order Fire Effects Model (FOFEM) was developed to predict the direct consequences of prescribed fire and wildfire. FOFEM computes duff and woody fuel consumption, smoke production, and fire-caused tree mortality for most forest and rangeland types in the United States. The model is available as a computer program for PC or Data General computer.

This publication is dedicated to all the aspects involved in the endoscopic diagnosis of terminal ileum. The most experienced endoscopists, gastroenterologists and pathologists will focus on and discuss the principles of diagnosis and treatment of the main pathologies involved in this district. The technique of ileoscopy with all the newest advances in endoscopic imaging will be discussed. Another chapter will be dedicated to the possible flow chart of diagnosis of the principles diseases after ileoscopy, from capsule endoscopy to double balloon ileoscopy. One of the revelations with photography is that monochrome images often enable us to see the world and people in new, and often deeper, ways. Colour is such a dominant part of our vision that we often overlook more subtle variations in tones and textures.This book is a companion volume to the colour book "Rewilding the Human Spirit", but instead of repeating the contemporary narrative contained in that book, this work includes a range of directly relevant quotations which show and help to explain humans' deep and intrinsic connection to our natural world.The importance of landscape, nature and our natural world is shown both through these quotations and through just over 130 monochrome fine art nude images, involving 15 different women aged 24 to 43. The works have been shot in a range of natural locations around Europe.

The Kurdish Women's Freedom Movement
Amidst ongoing wars and insecurities, female fighters, politicians and activists of the Kurdish Freedom Movement are building a new political system that centres gender equality. Since the Rojava Revolution, the international focus has been especially on female fighters, a gaze that has often been essentialising and objectifying, brushing over a much more complex history of violence and resistance. Going beyond Orientalist tropes of the female freedom fighter, and the movement's own narrative of the 'free woman', Isabel Käser looks at personal trajectories and everyday processes of becoming a militant in this movement. Based on in-depth ethnographic research in Turkey and Iraqi Kurdistan, with women politicians, martyr mothers and female fighters, she looks at how norms around gender and sexuality have been rewritten and how new meanings and practices have been assigned to women in the quest for Kurdish self-determination. Her book complicates prevailing notions of gender and war and creates a more nuanced understanding of the everyday embodied epistemologies of violence, conflict and resistance.
