This book Decoding the mystery behind 3, 6 and 9 has grown out of my increasing wish to learn about myself, to learn about why the creator brought me on this planet, what is the reason for my being and now that I have been sent here, how should I celebrate my life as a gift. We as human beings blindly follow what others say. Our ability to judge any situation is dependent on what others’ have taught us, it may be wrong, it may be right. Our family and social or group conscience rules our judgment and our mind. This book is all about my journey to the creator. It will take you through the hard truths of life. The truth behind the beginning of life when the universe sang to us and gave us the songs of life; the truth when only love existed and gave birth to sex; the truth when mankind was not aware of death; the truth behind human conscience and how it makes us do different things; the truth behind coming out of the materialistic society and starting your journey to the unknown; the truth behind how I had an encounter with different form of life and experienced the existence of the other forms of life.
This book challenges the prevalent assumptions of caste, hierarchy and social mobility in pre-colonial and colonial Bengal. It studies the writings of colonial ethnographers, Orientalist scholars, Christian missionaries and pre-colonial literary texts like the Mangalkavyas to show how the concept of caste emerged and argues that the jati order in Bengal was far from being a rigidly reified structure, but one which had room for spatial and social mobility. The volume highlights the processes through which popular myths and beliefs of the lower caste orders of Bengal were Sanskritized. It delineates the linkages between sedantized peasant culture and the emergence of new agricultural castes in...
Millions of people are exposed to thousands of brands daily through different means, and we may categorise some as advertisements. William M. O’Barr calls it “conditioning of the consumers.” Advertisements can be analysed from different perspectives. For instance, Philip Nelson, in his study “Advertising as Information,” analyses advertisements based on the capacity of advertisements to direct the information toward the consumers, helping them separate one brand from another. Demetrios Vakratsas and Tim Ambler, in their study “How Advertising Works: What Do We Really Know?” discussed factors like “consumer’s belief and attitudes” and “behavioral effects” leading to pu...
The present volume is a compilation of research work in computation, communication, vision sciences, device design, fabrication, upcoming materials and related process design, etc. It is derived out of selected manuscripts submitted to the 2014 National Workshop on Advances in Communication and Computing (WACC 2014), Assam Engineering College, Guwahati, Assam, India which is emerging out to be a premier platform for discussion and dissemination of knowhow in this part of the world. The papers included in the volume are indicative of the recent thrust in computation, communications and emerging technologies. Certain recent advances in ZnO nanostructures for alternate energy generation provide...
This book presents select proceedings of the international conference on Innovations in Clean Energy Technologies (ICET 2020) and examines a range of durable, energy efficient and next-generation smart green technologies for sustainable future by reflecting on the trends, advances and development taking place all across the globe. The topics covered include smart technologies based product, energy efficient systems, solar and wind energy, carbon sequestration, green transportation, green buildings, energy material, biomass energy, smart cites, hydro power, bio-energy and fuel cell. The book also discusses various performance attributes of these clean energy technologies and their workability and carbon footprint. The book will be a valuable reference for beginners, researchers and professionals interested in clean energy technologies.
Advanced Computing, Networking and Informatics are three distinct and mutually exclusive disciplines of knowledge with no apparent sharing/overlap among them. However, their convergence is observed in many real world applications, including cyber-security, internet banking, healthcare, sensor networks, cognitive radio, pervasive computing amidst many others. This two-volume proceedings explore the combined use of Advanced Computing and Informatics in the next generation wireless networks and security, signal and image processing, ontology and human-computer interfaces (HCI). The two volumes together include 148 scholarly papers, which have been accepted for presentation from over 640 submiss...
Mahatma Gandhi, the father of nation has a multi-dimensional personality- a politician, leader, statesman, journalist, writer, barrister, philosopher, social scientist and activist. He was born on 2nd October, 1869 during colonial period and died on 30th January, 1948 while India was independent. Between these two different perspectives of his life, he formulated and developed his political and philosophical ideas which he himself experienced in South Africa and India. Now the time has come to be reviewed/re-examined whether his political ideas and philosophy are relevant in the 21st Century, characterized by the problem of armed clashes, terrorism and the moral crisis of humanity. His ideas...

It begins with an overview of brain diseases and the need for novel drug-delivery approaches. It highlights the current route for the intranasal advanced drug-delivery systems for brain diseases. It also discusses innovative categories of drug-delivery systems, including mesoporous silica nanoparticles, polymeric nanocarriers, and lipid-based nanocarriers through multi-responsive DDSs and their implications in brain disorders. Features: Includes an overview of brain diseases and highlights the need for novel drug-delivery approaches Focuses on theoreti...
Nanotechnology has shown immense promise for advancing blood glucose control. This technology offers the potential to safeguard pancreatic cells from autoimmune destruction by driving the creation of innovative therapeutic agents that can be delivered to specific targets. In this book, you will find a comprehensive exploration of diabetes and its approved medical treatments. The book delves into how nanotechnology can amplify the efficacy of current treatment modalities, potentially paving the way for a gene therapy solution to combat this disease. Starting with the history of diabetes treatment, the book explains treatment challenges for diabetes before getting into the three ways nanoscience is helping in diabetes treatment: insulin delivery, drug delivery and nucleotide delivery. Each chapter is contributed by accomplished experts in their respective fields, who strive to offer a thorough, yet accessible discussion of the subject. Readership General readers, science enthusiasts and scholars interested in diabetes medicine.
